The Old Lock Up Gallery – Cromford, Derbyshire

Yellow Box copy

There are only two weeks before my solo show in Cromford. The Old Lock Up Gallery is an ancient space which was the original jail cell for the village. The walls are a foot thick and the space oozes character. The opening is on the 30th of June between 3.30 and 5pm but the gallery is open Friday to Sundays, with the show coming to a close on the 11th fo August. It would be great to meet people there to talk about my work and to hear about theirs.

The work is a culmination of my explorations of Iceland, it’s landscape and the social stories of those I spent months with, along with my concept of Northness. Photography is the medium with a number of straight, abstract images as well as multi layered works.
